Old Sugiyama Family's House (National Important Cultural Asset)

The Sugiyama Family is one of the old families who contributed much to the foundation of Jinai-machi area in Tondabayashi City. They prospered as a "Sake" manufacturer in the Edo Era.
The house is the oldest remaining house in Jinai-machi, and is designated as National Important Cultural Asset because it is a very good example of a prosperous merchant's house in the middle of the Edo Era.
The City Government preserves this Old Sugiyama Family's House as a representative merchant's house and opens it to the public.

Open hours: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm (April 1 - October 31)
10:00 am - 4:00 pm (November 1 - March 31)
Closed: Mondays and December 28 to January 6 inclusive.
Admission: adults (16 years of age and older): 400yen
children (6 years of age to 15 years of age): 200yen
groups (over 20 persons): 20% reduction from the above fees.
